Experience Derby Day, Every Day! General Admission includes a 30-minute historical walking tour of Churchill Downs Racetrack and full access to two floors of Museum exhibits where you can see Derby fashions over the years, watch every Derby race dating back to 1918, learn the history of African Americans in horse racing, and see a replica of Churchill Downs' famous Winner's Circle. Also included in admission is a showing of the Museum's epic 18-minute film about The Kentucky Derby, “The Greatest Race,” which puts you in the center of what it's like to be at the Derby. In addition, visitors can access our Gift Shop & Kentucky fare in the Derby Café and much more. Specialty tours are also available for purchase and get you into places closed to the public, such as the Barn and Backside of Churchill Downs. You'll watch racehorses working out on the track early in the morning. Seeing life on the backside is a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience. Learn about the connection between Thoroughbreds and Bourbon on our Bourbon and Bridles Tour. Besides learning the history of these two iconic Kentucky treasures, you'll enjoy a bourbon flight, taste it, and make your own Mint Julep. We also provide Race-Day tours that include tickets to Churchill Downs, Behind the Scenes Tours, and Twilight Tours.
